I could write about the movie, but I have already seen it dozens of times, and most likely you have seen it a dozen times too so I will spare us both a discussion on a film that has already been discussed to death. It's amazing. Wes Craven is god. Great concept. Great actors. Great special effects. Et cetera. So instead of a film discussion, I will be looking at the A Nightmare on Elm Street drinking game that I got from Drinking Game Zone.

Alright, as a semi-professional drinker and avid movie watcher, I have had my share of movie drinking games. From super fun Bill and Ted drinking game (change seats when they go back or forward in time is one rule) to the dangerous Harry Potter drinking game (you can come up with more rules but all you need to get really drunk is to take a drink whenever anyone says "Harry" or "Potter") and one of my favorite, the Chopped tv show drinking game (see picture of rules at the bottom).

The secret to a good movie drinking game is not to have too many rules but a small handful of good ones that will keep you drinking throughout the movie. The ideal is to not have too many long periods of no drinking. The Drinking Game Zone's rules are perfect: six rules but keeps the beer flowing.

Here are the Rules:
Take One Drink When
* Someone falls asleep or is in a dream
* You see Freddy
* Someone Dies
Take Two Drinks When
* Freddy scrapes fingers on stuff
* Character drinks/eats something to stay awake
Take Three Drinks When
*Freddy gives one of his great one-liners
Finish Your Drink When
* Freddy "dies"

That's all you need. This kept me drinking my beer nearly ever two or three minutes. The game will take you nearly through a six pack and can be applied to any drinking game.

Great movie, good drinking game, and I still cannot watch the scene where dead Tiny has millipedes coming out of her mouth. Disgusting.

Not horror, but it'll get you drunk.
